This Week’s Thoughts. 💭
I started making short-form content on TikTok.
Never thought I’d say that sentence.
When I started doing this, I always said that I would not talk on camera and pretend to be something I am not.
But social media, especially short-form videos, is a creator's greatest leverage.
It costs me nothing, has zero risk, so why not.
The only risk is the risk of judgment from peers, which I don't mind.
It’s a lot easier for me to talk about my topics rather than write them.
(Don’t worry, the newsletter is going nowhere.)
So, if you’re a doomscroller like me, I’ll see you there.

Your job called—it wants better business news
Welcome to Morning Brew—the world’s most engaging business newsletter. Seriously, we mean it.
Morning Brew’s daily email keeps professionals informed on the business news that matters, but with a twist—think jokes, pop culture, quick writeups, and anything that makes traditionally dull news actually enjoyable.
It’s 100% free—so why not give it a shot? And if you decide you’d rather stick with dry, long-winded business news, you can always unsubscribe.
🥘 Build Your Default Meals
The idea is simple:
Have 1 or 2 go-to meals you can make on autopilot — healthy, quick, and satisfying.
You don’t need a full meal plan.
You don’t need to batch-cook for 6 hours every Sunday.
You just need one option you can fall back on when you’re tired, hungry, and tempted to order something random.
For me, it's:
2 Tins of Tuna, Microwaveable Rice, and Avocado.
Throw some sriracha over the top, and you have a cheap, high-protein, low-calorie meal in literally five minutes.
or
Greek Yoghurt, Protein Powder and Fruit.
Mix the yoghurt and Protein Powder. If you’re craving something sweet, add some dark chocolate and honey. Unreal.
Nothing fancy.
Just meals I can make half-asleep without blowing my money or my energy.
Why it works:
It removes decision fatigue
It stops you spiralling into “eh I’ll just grab something later” mode
It gives you a sense of control without needing a full-on health routine
Try this:
Pick one meal that hits all three: easy, nutritious-ish, and something you actually like.
Buy the ingredients every week, no questions asked
Keep it boring — that’s what makes it stick
If you want to go full nerd mode, keep a little “Default Meals” note on your phone with 2-3 backup options for different moods.
Apple notes is my best friend, I put everything in there.
Hungry-but-lazy, hungry-but-skint, etc.
Let me know if you want me to send mine — happy to share.
Talk soon,
